I've previously ordered parrot food online a number of times through other retailers, and every time there has been an issue with the order, whether it’s not been dispatched on time or the delivery of it going awry, even when I've paid for special or express delivery (average time scale for receiving the product has been about 1 - 2 weeks when choosing express, and even then that includes us having to go pick it up from the depot every time).
So having had this experience I decided to try somewhere different and came across Northern Parrot. The first thing I noticed was the value for money - everything is reasonably priced. Not only that, but for the parrot food I was after they had a larger sized bag which worked out to be better value for money. So where usually I would buy 2 small bags from other retailers for the same price, I got almost 3 times as much food with the bigger bag - happy days!
Having had my previous rather naff experiences, I decided to order my food well in advance so that my poor little babies wouldn't starve. Being a bit cynical, I figured with it being cheaper, having a larger item to be delivered and only choosing standard delivery that I might have to wait about two weeks for it to arrive - so imagine my surprise when I came home on Tuesday to find a wee note through the door saying that the parcel had been left with a neighbour (I was quite chuffed with that because my additions instructions had actually been followed!).
So I suppose my review covers in part Northern Parrots – for their prompt dispatch, and great value for money, and fab selection of items – and the postal service from Parcel Force - where the delivery was made as per my additional info and well before the expectation given of 3-5 days. I will most definitely be using Northern Parrots again, probably for all my parrot needs from now on and not just for food :)
