As a private buyer, I should have preferred to see the total cost quoted from the start when purchasing the goods. I always feel somewhat "miffed " to find that I have to fork out an extra six or seven pounds for VAT, a fact not disclosed until the actual point of payment. I am sure that suppliers don't like this tax either, but why not state the full price and then (ex-VAT in smaller figures). However the important fact is that the goods were as described, were promptly delivered and were received in good condition, so full marks for service. I have also discovered since my purchase that I could have obtained the same items locally at a lower price from Tool Station in Doncaster, so that would be an important consideration for future purchases.
