Lighting At Home

Franklite from Lightingathome..... Frankly total and utter rubbish

Chose Lighting at home in November 2012 to supply two Franklite Barbican units (1xPIR, 1xNon-PIR) to replace some existing, and significantly cheaper outside lights.
Shipping was super fast and with free bulbs, but at 3+ x the price, I expected 3 x the quality...... How wrong could I have been. The light units fill with rain water, as the lens' are not sealed to the metal case - easily fixed with clear silicone sealant, but not really what I expected to end up doing with new outside lights!

The PIR light unit needed to be replaced as the light just briefly flashed with motion - adjustment made no difference. Lighting at home arranged a replacement direct from Franklite, but the new one had the same fault.

Now, fed-up, but with 4 new holes in the wall, I opted for a non-PIR unit which Lighting at home arranged, to which I fitted a cheap external PIR.

So - £160 down, plus the cost of silicone, and an external PIR - we have movement operated light!

Lighting at Home eventually come through with a refund for the difference between the PIR and Non-PIR unit cost in Feb. 2013.... Not sure why this took so long?, together with the value of the advertised shopping voucher that we never received with the order.

Would I recommend Lighting At Home? I have no reason to doubt their integrity, or commitment to 100% Customer satisfaction, so yes.

Would I recommend Franklite products?... I'll leave that for you to decide for yourselves.
