This is the sort of pan that you use for everything when you are cooking for a family. It's a good size and very practical. I have used it to cook some casseroles, curries and bolognese sauce and I have even used it to fry homemade fish cakes in and they didn't stick. I had considered buying another nonstick/ anodised pan but despite being careful, the coating always seemed to come off so I had decided that I wanted a stainless steel pan.
I have an aga so needed a pan that could go into the oven (metal handles), and this has been perfect: it fits comfortably into the simmering oven leaving room for another decent sized saucepan (for veg/ pasta). The thick base of the pan retains heat and cooks evenly and although it is quite heavy it is not ridiculous (comfortable to lift even full of food!) It looks good enough to serve from at the table. And I really like the glass, see-through lid so I can look at food without losing all of the heat by opening the lid. It is very easy to keep clean and shiny.
The best bit about this excellent pan is the price. I am astounded by how much you get for your money.
Delivery was swift, the pan beautifully packaged and Procook was a pleasure to buy from.
