I gave up playing guitar over 30 years ago and decided to start again. I bought the cheapest electric guitar in the shop, after reading reviews about it on various websites.
As an old guy who knows nothing about modern day guitars I was treated with respect by Samir, whom I spoke to on the phone prior to my visit to the shop.
When I eventually managed to make the 120 mile round trip to the shop, Sam was again very helpful and was able to give me advice with regard to a suitable practice amp.
The whole experience was hassle free and I would recommend the store to absolute beginners, as they do not try and bamboozle you with technical details, and basically let you try out your guitar without pressure.
Would I travel to the shop again? Probably, but I reckon I'd make use of their mail order facility for accessories.
Thanks Guitarguitar for easing me back into the saddle. Three weeks into it most of it is coming back to me, and I haven't mortgaged the house to get started again.
