I used travel republic to book a weekend away to nyc for my bfs birthday present. We checked in as usual online as usual the night before and it said that our flight had been redirected to minneaplois we were not happy. We tried ringing Travel republic and delta but by that time they were closed no 24/7 number? We then found out about the storm nero so we knew then it wasnt only us however next day we arrived at airport anyways to find out the news that no flight was going into nyc until the sun compared to the fri we booked to leave and were moved to the minneapolis flight in which we would of have to of stayed over and traveled next day to nyc meaning half the weekend was over yet the story gets worse. We rang travel republic on the fri at 8am when they opened explained the situation and told wed get a call back asap as out hotel in nyc was stil expecting us yet we mananged to cal nyc and tel them within minutes 2 hours later no call so we called back and were told the rep we spoke to was busy and to be passed onto someone else. 12 hours later and ten different reps we spoke to a particular rep was taking out case and the rudest person yet, she claimed to us she was sorting our holiday out yet everytime she rang she was busy on another call or on her lunch break and then eventually left to go home and then passed onto someone else. Then spoke to manager whome promised us he would get our case sorted in the next half an hour only for no call to be returned and after over 90 mins on the phone all day our hotel money would not be returned yet we said 12 hours before we cant get their as no flights. Cant name names but the service was awful and it topped it off with an arguement on the phone to the rude memeber of staff stating that travel repulic was only a third party company and she was waiting a call from someone else. BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME OF MY LIFE . i will be writing personally to them and i hope no one deals with them again. Stil right now have not recieved our money back for the holiday as i would like a refund and to book with someone else. To be continued...
