I bought the variety pack to contend with my father's titanic snoring on a trip, I was skeptical but desperate. They worked very well, I had to use both foam inserts and putty moulds to drown the horrendous sounds and found them easy to use and comfortable to wear.

As a first time buyer, I would recommend the variety pack because the foam inserts are all very different in terms of size and ease of insertion. The putty style moulds seem to be very similar, so if you know you'll use them, I would just buy any one of them.
