Rocky start but AOK in the end

Had problems initially due to incorrect info given to me by the person to whom I was making the payment - Italian : say no more!. All eventually went well. However, can't understand why payment goes out of my bank, comes back the same day and then goes out again the next day. Probably something to do with the bank not liking me using Transferwise instead of them but, of course, Transferwise is cheaper!
