Very poor packing

Spent a lot of money on a Bose sounddock, so I was very surprised to find that their packaging consisted of just brown paper wrapped around the Bose box. I bought this as a birthday present, but it looks second hand. Not opened the Bose box yet - as its a present so not sure if there is any damage to the goods. Some how some animal mess had got on to the parcel too during delivery. Not a good experience.
This would have been a 5 star review if the goods were wrapped properly as the price was good and no other problems were encountered.
