We purchased 5 desks via the WorldStores website on a Tuesday last November at 4.45pm where it stated they were available for next day delivery. I realised that they probably wouldn’t arrive on the Wednesday, but certainly expected them on the Thursday.
I received a tracking email from WorldStores and I followed the link to the XPS logistics website. It stated that they were at the collection / delivery depot on the Wednesday night / Thursday morning, so all seemed on-course. However nothing arrived on Thursday. I tried to call the depot number listed on the tracking page, only to either get an engaged tone, or the phone continuously ring before saying no-one was available and to call back later. I also emailed WorldStores via the website, but heard nothing back. I contacted customer services via phone on the Thursday and they arranged for a courier to collect them from XDP on Friday and deliver to us the same day.
However that courier couldn’t collect the desks as no-one could be reached from XDP to sign for their release. When they were reached, the courier didn’t have enough vans to collect them. Late on Friday I made my first and only successful call to the XDP depot to be informed that the desks required a two man delivery and these only went on certain days, so they would be out for delivery on Monday (2 working days late & not specified or communicated by OfficeSupermarket). Then at 10.36am on the Monday the tracking page updates to say that they would be delivered that evening.
I again spoke to customer services about this who reassured me it would be definitely be by 6pm. However these desks were already going on for 3 working days late, so why were we put as the last delivery on the schedule? Again, no-one was reachable at XDP to ask what was happening and we were assured that they would definitely be delivered that day. As it was, they arrived at 5.15pm. To add insult to injury, one of the desks was quite badly damaged and so needs to be returned and replaced (still outstanding 2 months later!)
Plus our complaint to the supervisor at WorldStores has also gone unanswered for almost 2 months. Avoid them and go elsewhere!
