Worktop Express

Great service and great value, beautiful worktops.

I ordered the standard solid oak worktops for my kitchen on the Worktop Express website. The worktops were delivered on the day that I requested and the delivery men even rang me to let me know the time they'd arrive. The worktops arrived well packaged in cellophane with plastic protectors on each corner. I was a little apprehensive about quality when ordering the worktops as they were significantly cheaper than B&Q etc but I was impressed with the quality when they arrived, especially as I had only ordered standard oak worktops, not prime oak. There were only one or two very small minor imperfections on each 3m length which, once oiled with Danish Oil, pretty much disappeared. You can always choose the best side to be the top side when fitting anyway. I gave the worktops a further sanding with fine grade paper and oiled the worktops with Rustins Danish Oil, using the instuctions on the tin for achieving an extra smooth finish, and they look amazing - a huge difference to my old laminate worktops. Its lovely to have real wood that has its own warmth and character. My wife and I are thrilled with them and sometimes I find myself standing in the kitchen just staring admiringly at them!
