The part with autoeurope was easy and the reservation was carried out without any problems. However, despite asking if there was anything still to pay, when I returned the car with Europcar and them telling me that nothing was owed, I received a bill sent to me after I was back in the USA. I had to pay it via expensive international bank routing as they do not take credit card. The bill was for "Licenses and Fees" and did not specify for what exactly. This is the reason I will NOT use autoeurope and Europcar again. The hassle afterwards was not acceptable for me.
The only downside of the booking for my situation was that I had received a 10% off Coupon per e-mail from Auto Europe for Excellenthotels.com right AFTER the fact that I had booked with Excellenthotels and could not apply these savings anymore towards my Hotel booking unless I would have cancelled my Reservation and would have booked it again. I did not do this as I didn't want to have that hassle. It would be nice if one could take advantage of offered discounts and go back to those reservations in a certain time frame and apply such discounts. Everything else is very easy and convenient.
