My Zavvi experience goes like this:
I had placed an order the day before Xmas and was expecting it somewhere before New Years. I was meant to go see friends for the new year so was banking on it turning up. Having read others unflattering reviews I started to question whether or not I could bank on it being possible so I took to twitter and directed a message to zavvi which I got a reply to (from one of their reps named Kieran)even though I did not see it until the day after, by then I had received my order, so no complaints. Kieran was very prompt at replying. Will use again in the future.
