As far as they're concerned the customer is never right..or don't know what they want!

I joined Wowcher a few months ago and decided to get the MAC and myface makeup class offer. Turned up and was turned away from the door with four other ladies as we were late. The email confirmation gave a later time than what they claimed the time of the class was for. That wasn't Wowcher's fault, but the following is: I emailed them informing them that I wanted my card refunded as it was not a good experience, they credited my wowcher account with the cost of the voucher which was around £21. At that point I should have complained, but didn't, I decided ok my money is there if there's any other offers I can just use the credit and be done with it...fine.

A few weeks later it was my mate's bday and I decided to get a voucher to see a burlesque act did so spending £9.99 out of £21 leaving £11.01. No other deals that they had appealed to me so its been there in cyber space.

Then a few weeks ago I got an email from them saying I got £5 credit so I thought let me use the remainder and get anything that I can use, only to realise that my money had 'expired'!

I've tweeted them; no reply and I've decided I've learnt my lesson I want to close my account which I had to message them about as well as there is no option where you can on their website, they have not replied to me up until this point.

This serves to educate anyone who is seriously thinking of using this company..Don't! And if you do you're going to eventually end up like the rest of us writing letters of complaint and emails that will never be answered or not obeying your instructions.

We are sorry to hear about how you feel in regards to this situation.

When a wowcher wallet credit is issued we send out an automated email confirming this. This email also confirms the valid from and expiry date and is then the customers responsibility to use their credit within this time frame. if it is not used then the credit will expire and is non refundable.

Zavvi goes above and beyond to help customers queries.

My Zavvi experience goes like this:

I had placed an order the day before Xmas and was expecting it somewhere before New Years. I was meant to go see friends for the new year so was banking on it turning up. Having read others unflattering reviews I started to question whether or not I could bank on it being possible so I took to twitter and directed a message to zavvi which I got a reply to (from one of their reps named Kieran)even though I did not see it until the day after, by then I had received my order, so no complaints. Kieran was very prompt at replying. Will use again in the future.
