Received a letter telling me my car was due an annual service, the letter stated a £10 discount would be given. Booked in the car, agreed a price with the £10 discount, but when collected the car they would not let me have it for the agreed price, stating I had to pay full price, as the discount they had offered would have meant they would lose money. When got home also found that they had not completed the service book properly, and had not used the approved parts suggested by Kia. They had also not done the annual paint inspection.
Wrote a letter to Kia and Stoneacre Grimsby, Kia stated that the service can be carried out at any VAT registered garage to keep the waranty, but stated that costs of servicing and parts used was not an issue for them. Got a reply from Stoneacre stating that the discount only applied if I had a "manufacturers" service which was £139 instead of the £69 service. I would have not minded if they had told me first, but getting the work done then telling me was not good, and very embarasing. I have found out that Honda would do the service for £99, and another Kia dealer would do it for £69, the local garage charges £50 all are VAT registered.
Why can't Stoneacre be honest and just tell us before we have the work done how much it will cost.
I just wish I had read other reviews before sending our car there.
