Twice in one week I've had to deal with this conpany through scan computers and twice I feel like I'm being mugged off! I've had my neighbour stay in and wait for my parcels and each time I've had an email saying there was nobody in at my address (even though I'd arranged it to go to the neighbours) yet my neighbours heard nothing and have been say there waiting. I could be wrong but I get the impression they are making it purposely difficult so you pay for Saturday delivery. That's the feeling im left with anyway. Lets just hope I can get this parcel in time for my birthday! Once is a mistake, twice in one week is unacceptable!!
I will speak to the office of fair trading and see what they have to say as this company is not fullfilling it's purpose, which is delivering! In order for this simple feat to be accomplished the deliver driver needs to physically knock on the property he's deliver to or in any other way alert the attention of the recipient and only leave the property without delivering the parcel if 100% everything has been done to try. Since the drivers there at DPD appear to simply not care this is not being achieved! I now have proof of the events as one of neighbours has CCTV. I suggest to you DPD that you buck up your ideas.
