As Airbnb grows, so do its growing pains. More people looking for more variation means the company is constantly looking for new ways to improve and mostly succeeds. As a host, I've had many people stay with me and all have been wonderful, but Airbnb's website and fees sometimes puts guests off staying for long periods of time - I recently lost $1000 booking because of it's malfunctioning website.
All in all I use Airbnb a lot and the customer service is quite good. Perhaps if they asked hosts more about what problems they were having and connected more with the guests, they'd develop features that people really need.
