I was having trouble with my pc and kept on losing the online order page - so, each time I began the process anew. However, when it came to checking the order I noticed that it was for 4, so I pressed the" edit the quantity " button and changed it to 1. After giving details of my credit card I pushed the continue button, expecting to see a final summary of the transaction for review - only to see the notice that the order was complete. I still believed that there would be no problem as I thought had edited the quantity (which I apparently hadn't).
When I received the confirmation of order email I was horrified to see that it was for 4 bottles. I didn't want 4 bottles and I certainly couldn't afford 4 bottles. It was after-hours when I made this discovery and immediatelly sent off an Email to Customer Services - and had a sleepless night of anxiety, intending to phone in the morning when lines opened at 10.00. I also noticed that delivery would only be on 14th Feb - which was later than I imagined. The product (rhubarb vodka) was meant to be a Valentines present for my wife..
At 09.55 the following day, I received a phone call from Shennell (?) of Thedrinkshop and within a few minutes, in the most re-assuring and pleasant way, she had corrected the financial implications of my erroneous order and suggested an alternative but similar product which would be more readily available. It arrived the next morning! The Rhubarb Vodka will be on my next order.
