Posted a PC in full working order and insured the package up to its full amount. Used generous amounts of bubble wrap *and* thick packing paper folded over on itself. The PC arrived at its destination with a hole punched clean through the outer box and the casing bent. The PC no longer works. Parcelforce are refusing to offer compensation based on "insufficient packaging". What degree of packaging am I REASONABLY expected to provide? It looks as though someone drop kicked it into the van or dropped it from 5+/- feet. I do not expect my goods to be treated that way when I've paid to have them safely delivered. While I appreciate that people are more likely to post negative reviews than positive one, their Trustpilot rating really says it all. Utterly unacceptable.
I understand that people are more likely to go out of their way to write a negative review than they are a positive one, so perhaps that explains it, but Ebuyer are by no means a 3/10. My dad and I have purchased computer equipment from them for several years now. Where we have received faulty goods (and it is very rare) they are generally quite swift in resolving the issue and arranging refunds or exchanges. The prices are good, the selection is great and their finance system is very clear and easy to set up.
The only thing we've been disappointed with in recent times was a pop up gazebo which broke after very few uses but we've since been approved for a return and refund so not really much to complain about.
I'd say give them a shot, and if you have a positive experience take the time to share it with others!
