I went to Pets at Home to buy 2 Goldfish and was asked was size my tank was, explained it was around the same size as their display tanks. Was told that I could only buy one due to the size of my tank. The display tanks each contained around 40 fish. When I pointed this out to the assistant he advised that they only keep that number of fish in a tank short term. Allowing for the cold water and tropical fish the store probably held 800 fish in 20 tanks. What is short term? 1 week, 1 month? Do they sell this number of fish? Unlikely. Perhaps they just kill them off after their"short term" is up.
Will never set foot in any of their stores ever again.
I am now advised by auto response that Arena will get round to responding to my emails by the middle of the week, this follows previous assurances that I would be contacted at the very latest by yesterday.
This is somewhat hard to fathom as they claim that the fiasco only affected a small number of customers.
What do the consider a small number?
Are there actually any customers out there who were not affected?
Phones are still turned off and Facebook messages still being deleted, not mine of course because I have been blocked.
