There has been quite a lot of criticism of The Hut lately, and I can understand why: everything seems to have slowed down compared with about a year ago. I have been a customer for many years and have to admit that emails take at least a day to be answered, and orders to Spain now take about three weeks to arrive, compared with about 10 days previously.
On the other hand everything gets done eventually, and problems are solved sensibly and fairly. The one big gain, which nobody should overlook, is the very competitive price level. This is definitely better than before, so if you are not in a hurry to receive your order, the extra saving is well worth it. Hence 4 stars.
A super device which is not easy to find is the wine cork retriever. Maybe I've just been unlucky, bu I have lost a number of corks recently by having slipped inside the bottle, despite using a super corkscrew. What a relief to find just what I was looking for at Wineware. Their service was every bit as good as the gadget, and arrived in Spain post haste. I daresay the postage could have been cheaper, but then I suppose you get what you pay for. Cheers!
