Sorry - that's not an accurate review. Both styles of product exist in Spain and neither could be called more or less authentic than the other. Certainly, the rougher texture ones are more old fashioned, but they are also far more prone to breakage and are not as usable as the smooth ones, which is why we don't sell them. You say you expected a 'rough texture' but the product description clearly states "The finish is smooth and the material compact, making these dishes more resilient to knocks and breakages than very basic terracotta dishes which tend to chip and break easily.", so I don't think we're in the wrong here.
