Having done my research and decide which model of watch I wanted to buy, I came across the WatchFinder website and thought it was probably worth registering my interest in the watch, which they didn't have in stock, to see whether they could source a second hand one at a reasonable price for me rather than buying new. My budget didn't stretch to a new one from an authorised dealer so I'd been looking for second hand or grey market websites, which I didn't really like the idea of.
Anyway, I received a call back to confirm the model I was interested in and tell WF how much I wanted to spend and in what timescale etc. A month or so later I got a call and emails from Tom to say they had just got the watch I was after in stock that day and would I be interested in it? I asked them to send me some photo's as it hadn't been put on the site (so that I knew it really existed!), and they did. The price seemed reasonable, certainly a lot better than RRP but after speaking to them they were able to agree a deal at a slightly better price.
After that came the dreaded wait, Would it be ok? How long would it take? Would it even arrive? I needn't have worried. It took a little while to be shipped out as they had to put it through it's checks and polish it up but I was kept informed of progress and called before they dispatched it to ensure that there would be somebody in when it arrived. It arrived very well packed and protected, the watch was beautifully shiny and I am extremely happy with it. It is a lovely thing to own and was in mint condition as they said it would be.
My watch still has some of the manufacturers warranty left, but you also get the extra peace of mind of 1 year WF warranty.
I would certainly recommend WatchFinder to other people in the market for a nice watch.
