Betta Living

High pressure sales outfit

I contact Betta Living in December last year for a kitchen quote. First signs were great, they got back to me straight away and had an appointment booked within a couple of days.
The Kitchen advisor arrived on time but that was as good as it got. He made us feel stupid in our unit choice constantly saying how expensive that would make it and that we needed to tone down our ideas. After finally agreeing on a much toned down simple kitchen the price he quoted was ridiculous. They had a '60% sale' on at the time which I think is a permanent sale with a further 20% off if we signed on the day. He wanted us to sign a credit agreement there and then but when we wanted a couple of days to think about it and check over the T&Cs he said that he can't leave any paperwork about the credit agreement unless we sign for it. What sort of company operates like this. The price of the kitchen with the discount was still well over the top and the price before the 60% and 20% was just ridiculous, over £14,000 for a 'basic' kitchen 2.9m by 2.5m. God knows what the price would have been if wanted our baskets and plate holders. We ended up going to b&q, no fuss, no pressure, interest free (betta living advertised but we couldn't have it) and half the price! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! Stay well away but if you do get one of their advisors round just be prepared to be hounded into signing, and constant waffle about the superior quality and rubbishing of other companies. For the price they quoted it should have come with gold taps and sink.
