I bought batteries for watches from them. They were as described and spedd of delivery excellent. Have used more than once and all service and products have been excellent.
I always use John lewis for large white goods and have never had a problem. They always ring first to check if the delivery is convenient (I have never used the name day service, I do not want to pay extra), and all products have been in perfect condition. I buy these items from John Lewis though they charge a bit more money, as I want the certainty a long standing company with a strong reputation provide and I know will deal with problems in a timely fashion as white goods are so key to the home I cannot afford to have them go wrong and then wait for the issue to be dealt with a long time. I bought a miele washing machine from them before and they gave a 10 year warranty on it for no extra charge! Of course it is a good brand so unlikely to go wrong but I still like to know the service is there if needed.
I mainly use Qcado now which is waitrose's partner and supplies Waitrose food, but 1 hour time slots as opposed to 2 hour from Waitrose.
Many Waitrose and Ocado branded products match Tescos for price, and their own brand products are often superior quality to Tescos. If you buy fruit I suspect the quality is better from Waitrose than Ocado as I often notice over chilling of fruit from Ocado but I am still making me mind up about that (would be good to have comments about fruit as that often is the hardest thing for the internet delivery supppliers to get right as it is the fussiest).
The test of a company it seems to me is what happens when things go wrong that were genuinely not their fault, do they put it right or are you expected the carry the can? When the ash cloud stopped the UK flights they gave me a full refund of all paid when booking the flights some three months earlier (£270 worth as was several peoples flights booked and paid by me). Re customer service, their telephone lines are always overloaded and you cannot get through as is their website and email communication re the above crisis; if they had said in their email to me re the cancellation of flight not to try to rebook flights as none would be possible or on the website I would not have spent ages trying to do so and known just to give up and ask for refund in the first place.
Finally, I must say they are very good when you get to fly with them, the previous year I was on a Ryanair flight and was very unwell and they were fantastic and got me a sickbag and glass of water etc when the sealtbelt sign was still on.
This company has been generally good in my experience; the signals are usually ok while at work in a low signal area, and they usually give me what I want. I am currently on a rolling 30 month solo contract as got sick of being asked to sign long contracts 12-24 month long. Watch out for phone calls from companies when near contract end date - before you know you have agreed to something that was not stated over the phone so only do this at your leisure after doing research, I nearly lost my previous contracts good contracts terms for an inferior one but argued about it as was promised these over the phone and they gave the terms back to me but it made my not get a new 12-24 month contract with them this year hence the 30 day one.
I wish I had seen this website before paying this company £15.98; they answered the first email saying they would chase up the order and said I should have got it but despite emails to them for them to send my order still no battery.
