We were looking for a buoyancy aid for our pre-teen girl granddaughter. We wanted something which she would not find embarrassing to wear while playing on the water, off our boat on in the dinghy. We judged that a collar would seem too infradig, a bright orange too obvious and the standard crewsaver type too 'un-cool' to be worn.
We also had to make allowances for it to be useful as she grows into adulthood, so it had to have some 'give' for her to expand into.
We saw the Gill buoyancy aid on this web site and it looked the part. It came within 48 hours of our ordering it which was excellent service. The company even emailed us to tell us it had been dispatched. Our Granddaughters verdict when she saw it was' It's blue, it's cool'.
The product itself has all the safety features of a buoyancy aid, including a detatchable crotch strap, and elasticated side panels, is easy to put on and take off with only a short sturdy zip to do up, but also has adjustable straps around the side to create a snug fit. Altoghether a well thought out piece of kit.
