I am just about to go on as many blogs and ratings sites to slag you off as much as possible
They accepted a booking for Equatorial Congo Airlines from Paris to Brazzaville. 42HQP9, that went through without a problem.
However a friend suggested I check out the airline as apparently they have a bad reputation and I found that even the local morning flights within the Congo had not even active yet that day.
I eventually got through to their customer service (I had to wait for at least b20 minutes at a rate of £1.53 per minute) to ask them to change it to the next flight combination offered by their site. I was told that it could only be cancelled with several hundred euros penalty, that I would be reimbursed in about three weeks and that I would need to rebook the alternative flight myself. I had paid for the cancellation option but this was a waste of time. Can planes not flying be cancelled????????????
I did the new booking but this time my debit card was refused and I received an email requesting that I do a bank transfer to DeutschBank for which they did not give a clear account number, just a SWIFT code GB85DEUT40508129608901, not being a banker, I didnt know which part is the account number or sorting codevwhich you need for an internet transfer.
And that was at about 5.30 on friday with the flight due to take off early Sunday morning. My bank is shut on Saturdays. So it was impossible to pay. No reply to my mail requesting proper bank details. So if I had stayed with Edreams there would have been no flight.
How can a company charge customers £1.53 per minute for customer service. More like customer rip off.
What absolutely abysmal service.
I wonder if I will really be reimbursed?????
They obviously make no checks on the airlines for which they sell tickets.
