The items delivered had discolouration, and what I'd say were scuff marks at the toes, though I could see from the soles that they did not appear to have been worn. Very strange indeed. I have never been disappoined by previous purchases of Ecco shoes, but these have been directly from shops.
I returned them, and would expect a full refund, including postage.
