DON'T GO THERE!

MY INITIAL EXPERIENCE WITH FIRSTBATHROOMS WAS REASONABLE - PROMPT DELIVERY WITHIN A FEW DAYS AND REALLY POLITE AND COURTEOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF (HENCE THE 1 STAR).PROBLEMS STARTED ONCE THE DELIVERY ARRIVED - I ORDERED THE TURIN BATHROOM SUITE HOWEVER THE ORDER ARRIVED WITHOUT THE SHOWER PANEL.PHONE CALL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLVED THE ISSUE QUITE QUICKLY AND IT ARRIVED WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS,NEVER MIND THESE THINGS HAPPEN I THOUGHT.NEXT ISSUE WAS THE NEW BATH WASTE WHICH MY PLUMBER ADVISED I NEEDED SO I ORDERED THIS SEPARATELY.AGAIN,VERY FRIENDLY MEMBER OF STAFF SPOKEN TO,PLACED THE ORDER BY PHONE,BATH WASTE FAILED TO ARRIVE AFTER A WEEK OF WAITING.I QUERIED THIS VIA E-MAIL,NO RECORD OF THE ORDER ACCORDING TO FIRSTBATHROOMS SO ANOTHER PHONE CALL LATER AND BATH WASTE RE-ORDERED AND EVENTUALLY ARRIVED AFTER A FURTHER COUPLE OF DAYS.MY PLUMBER STARTED WORK 12/2,ON THE SECOND DAY WHILST INSTALLING THE TOILET HE FOUND THE TOILET SEAT PLASTIC HINGE BETWEEN THE SEAT AND LID WAS CRACKED AND HAD SPLIT APART.NO PROBLEM,I'LL RING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ANOTHER ONE ONLY TO BE ADVISED I WAS OUT OF THE 7 DAY PERIOD FOR INSPECTION OF THE GOODS.A VISUAL INSPECTION WAS MADE ON DAY OF DELIVERY BUT A HAIRLINE CRACK ON A HINGE IS EASY TO MISS.FIRSTBATHROOMS REFUSED TO PROVIDE A NEW ONE FREE OF CHARGE GIVEN THE 7 DAY POLICY.DUE TO OTHER COMMITMENTS THE WORK COULD NOT START FOR A GOOD 2 WEEKS AFTER DELIVERY AND ALL THE ITEMS WERE IN THE GARAGE.MY VERY EXPERIENCED PLUMBER SAID HE HAD NEVER HEARD OF THAT HAPPENING BEFORE!ORDERED THE NEW TOILET SEAT WHICH IS WHERE I GOT REALLY FRUSTRATED.FIRSTBATHROOMS SENT ME A MUCH CHEAPER SEAT WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS THAT WAS FAR TOO SMALL AND WASN'T EVEN IN IT'S BOX.I SUSPECT THIS WAS FOUND AT THE BACK OF THE WAREHOUSE SOMEWHERE?? Q NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO DIFFERENT CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF OVER A COUPLE OF DAYS TO RESOLVE THIS.I LOST TRACK OF THE NUMBER OF PHONE CALLS I MADE AND ASSISTANTS I SPOKE TO.A LOT OF THE CALLS WERE UNANSWERED AND JUST RANG OUT.PROMISES OF CALL BACKS TWICE DID NOT MATERIALISE SO I WAS LEFT IN THE DARK ABOUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING.I EVENTUALLY GOT THE TOILET SEAT ONLY TO FIND THE FIRST TIME I STOOD IN THE BATH,IT SUSTAINED A CRACK! Q FURTHER PLUMBING WORK TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM AT MORE COST.MY PLUMBER SHOWED ME HOW THIN THE BATH MATERIAL WAS.FIRSTBATHROOMS ADVISED THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE THE BATH ANYWAY AS IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION ON DELIVERY.THANKS FOR THAT,REALLY HELPFUL!OVERALL REALLY BAD,WE HAVE OTHER ITEMS TO PURCHASE IN THE COMING MONTHS,REST ASSURED THEY WON'T BE FROM FIRSTBATHROOMS
