Outstanding 5* Mid-winter break in Madeira

It all went like clockwork! The taxi arrived on time and dropped us at the departures hall of Bristol airport. Had we got the right day, the right time? There was no one at the check in desk. Wow, we just sailed through. A full flight left on time and arrived in Funchal on time. A taxi was waiting for us and we were whisked away through the suburbs of the tropical paradise to our 5 star Pestana Carlton hotel. A warm greeting by the concierge started a relaxed break, which we could not fault. Excellent rooms, with ocean views made it a paradise of our own. Would we go back, - you bet!
