The only 2 good things I know about Thomann is that it has the best prices and a really wide selection. But my experience shopping with Thomann does not justify that.
4 months ago, I was sent a product which was not as represented on their website. I sent them an e-mail, they said it was a limited edition piece and they would be happy to offer a full refund or €50 discount, which was fair enough.
Just to check, I contacted C.F. Martin directly, who said otherwise. Even though I was slightly annoyed, I decided to stay positive thinking it could have been a simple misunderstanding and replied them; hoping that such a well reputed business would be able to resolve this issue in no time.
Boy, was I wrong. 6 weeks, 3 e-mails, no reply. I have no idea what kind of service is running at Thomann; I waited patiently and reasonably for a solution but this company has failed to provide that, let alone the simple decency to reply my e-mail requests.
Well, perhaps one customer means nothing to them. All I can say is that Thomann's website is full of self-proclaimed high standing and empty promises.
I WILL NEVER GO BACK. (I now shop at DV247 for all my recording equipment.)
I was kept in the loop at every stage of the purchase i.e. from order confirmation all the way to completion of delivery. They are always willing to make sure you are satisfied. (Unlike Thomann, the supposedly best in Europe; they sent me the wrong product, I sent them an e-mail, they replied once and NEVER gotten back to me ever since.)
Essentially, with great prices and such good service, I definitely have no qualms shopping at DV247 or recommending it to any of my friends. Any time.
