I am utterly confused by Yodel today. There were two of us home, each in different rooms, in a small apartment with all the interior doors open. Normally I can hear people walking up the stairs. When the postman comes each morning I wake up from his knocking even if I'm fast asleep with my bedroom door closed.
Today, somehow, Yodel managed to slip up the stairs, and get a card in the door without catching my attention. They chose not to ring the buzzer or knock on the door. This is impressive stealth.
I am confused, however, as to why they would do that. Is it in their interests to not deliver? Why would the driver make the effort to walk up 3 flights of stairs and not knock. It doesn't make the slightest of sense to me. Previously Yodel have either not delivered at all, or buzzed me and asked me to collect the parcel from the bottom of the common stairwell. Neither is reasonable service, but at least I understand the motivation for that behaviour.
Of course the card didn't have it's boxes ticked to indicate the future of the delivery, and the tracking on the website doesn't work, so I am completely in the dark.
My conclusion is that they are actually spies and the delivery company is just a cover, which would explain why they are so bad at it.
