UK Oak Doors

Great product, lousy delivery

I've now ordered two batches of oak doors from UK Oak Doors. Throughout the ordering process they've been extremely helpful and communicative. It's after that that things rather fell apart, on both occasions: first time they completely forgot to oil the doors (which had been paid for with the order). They did however promptly send a tin of the oil to us and paid for our local decorator to apply. Not however easy on a building site. The doors were also several days late, with no explanation given. The current order is now missing in action, after I'd been given completely false information by their couriers. When that was pointed out to the couriers, they seemed offended that I'd not known by telepathy that they weren't going to turn up when promised. UK Oak Doors have done their best to chase it up, but seem to be at the mercy of the delivery company, something that is affecting their own reputation. However, I simply cannot fault the doors - they're absolutely excellent.

Great Service, Poor Delivery

This was my first order with ironmongerydirect - they had everything in stock and despatched it promptly - no problems at all to that point. Their courier however was hopeless: part of the order arrived a mere two days late, with the rest apparently having vanished into thin air. It finally turned up at a random point the following week. Overall then, very good service from ironmongerydirect but lousy service from their courier. Unfortunately, they dictate who the courier is and that reflects on the overall rating - had delivery actually worked as promised, it would have been 5 stars.

I fully understand your frustration especially as both consignments arrived late and this should not of happened.
