I am new in Copenhagen. I just moved here from Stockholm after finishing my studies. I had an account in Nordea in Sweden. I thought it will be easy to transfer my money to Denmark through the same bank, That's why I went to Nordea Husum branch to open an account. The service provider asked for my Passport, CPR and Resident permit card. I gave everything as required. The service provider in the counter demanded a extra document since I have a care of address in Denmark. She asked for a letter from my embassy mentioning my permanent address in my home country.I showed her my permanent address was stated in my passport which is also issued by the embassy and I told her I used the same document in Sweden. She reminded me this is Denmark and not Sweden so I must provide a separate document from my embassy and passport in this case is not a valid document. I was shocked with her knowledge regarding documentation. Besides I don't have a embassy of my home country in Denmark. I did not want to argue with her since she was not helping. I just went to Nordea Norreport branch and opened the account in 5 minutes with the same documents. So I would rate it as an average bank.
