The codefree glucose monitor is similarly priced and is used in a similar way to most other regular monitors but is a bit larger and requires a one third larger blood drop. However 50 test strips are approximately 75% cheaper saving up to 20 uk pounds on each repeat order. I have not tested the device yet but am hopeful that it will be an acceptable economical alternative. It came nicely packaged in a complete kit including a first use calibration strip, jabber, instruction manual, record book and pouch
