Delivery companies in the UK have not been the best in the past. They've left customers asking for better service. Of course, parcel tracking has been around for some time. But what good is that if you'll have be at home all day long to receive a parcel. For whatever reason, technical or financial, companies never really bothered to see things from the customer's perspective. Until now that is.
I am absolutely delighted that Amazon has partnered with DPD. There has been no occasion where I was left asking "I wish..." Every time I order something (above a certain size/value) from Amazon, I get an email confirming that DPD will deliver it the next day. Then again in the morning, I get an email and a text specifying the exact hour within which the delivery would happen. If I can't be at home to receive my parcel, a quick text reply sorts the problem - it could be rescheduled or delivered to a neighbour. With this process in place, I have never missed a parcel, never had to drive to out-of-town depots to pick up parcels after work hours. What else could I have asked for?
Also, I shouldn't forget to mention that all drivers (including Ian today) have always been courteous and friendly.
As I said, the most competitive price and great service from Amazon, combined with DPD delivery service... makes my online shopping experience "nothing less than perfect".
I ordered a Panasonic BluRay 3D player from RGB Direct. Talked to the customer service, and they were happy to expedite shipping for free. Of course the price was the best available, plus as an addition it came with multi-region upgrade. Couldn't ask for more really. Perfect shopping experience. Thank you guys!
