High cost delivery and poor return proceedures

Ordered three dresses to try on, none fitted as sizing very small. So needed to return. When I looked at the return label I realized the warehouse for returns is about 3 miles from where I live. The post office had said that the cost to return by registered post would be £9.25 so as I was passing their warehouse I thought I could take it there myself. I found the place easily, went to the reception area, which was derelict with a locked door to another room .I rang the bell, someone answered and said that they could take the returns but would not guarantee that my account would be credited as the warehouse downstairs dealt with the returns. I asked if I or they could give the item to the right department. She said that it was not how they dealt with things and I would have to post it. How ridiculous !!! I was there with my parcel and had to go to the postoffice a mile from the warehouse and waste £9.. Be careful with sizing when ordering from this company and beware of their return policy.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to you. Our returns policy as stated in our website is that returns can only be accepted by post. It is important that we follow the correct procedures when dealing with returns to ensure stock control. The warehouse is not open to the public due to health and safety reasons and that would have been the reason you were advised to return the item by post as stated in our terms. Our returns policy is 14 days and your refund would have been credited as stated.
