I bought a vintage Casio watch via the cash generator website, delivery was very fast unfortunately when I opened the packet it was plane to see there was no signs of life from the watch. I immediately called the store to complain and was repeatedly told the watch was working before it left. At this point it became quite apparent that I was not going to be given the option of returning the watch for a refund, and was told to take it to get a new battery.
As live in Preston city centre I decided to get it seen to strait away and took it to “the watch hospital” they removed the back of the watch in front of me and pointed out a series of problems with the watch.
1 the battery was dead
2 the brace which holds the battery in place was missing, meaning the battery was in direct contact with the metal back, and it was this that responsible for the fast battery drain.
3 the spring which transfers sound signal from the movement of the watch was also missing
I was told that all these can be whilst I wait for £18.50
About half an hour and one costa coffee later the watch was repaired. I am very annoyed with cash generator for not offering a refund strait away. They now seem to expect people to solve issues with items themselves.
Overall I cannot recommend cash generator, in the past i have got a few bargains. but all to often i am finding the I have purchased items only to be told they have already been sold in shop or that they cannot find the item and now this!
