I had a faulty xbox controller and and said to one of my gaming friends when it broke that it was okay because Amazon were so good with returning faulty items that it would be fine. They were like yeah yeah but I phoned Amazon and after initially telling me to get in contact with Microsoft which I did but they were absolutley useless. Didn't even know what a controller for an xbox was !! Then I tried Xbox themselves and after waiting on the phone I couldn't get through. Phoned Amazon back and within 6 mins had a replacement ordered and a package to send back. This is top class service! And of course I will now tell my mates that they should buy from Amazon. That is what good customer service is. Making sure the customer keeps coming back and making them happy and getting them to spread the word.
I went into the Argos store in Kendal where I asked for a refund on a faulty item. I didn't have the receipt but because it was faulty I don't need to have one under the sales of goods act. Well the Duty Manager was insistant that it was my son's fault and that it had been mishandled, she even gave a senario (she said it looked like it had been tangle in a chair) that was completely false so thus accused me of being a liar. My son had bought the product with his own money and I took him to the store so he could tell them that he had bought them and it was from this store. I was noticably upset that they refused to replace it and the duty manager proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay to prove it was a fault that had developed. With my son in tears I went into protective Mum mode and told them exactly what I thought of them. I shall never ever shop in that shop again. For the sake of £20 they have lost £100s of pounds worth of sales. I don't think I would have been so angry if the muppet behind the counter hadn't been like a nodding lap dog, kissing the duty manager's behind. I will be writing to head office about this as I know my rights and it's a disgrace that they did not give me a refund.
I am so cross I have ordered a TV from them thinking that it would be next day delievery or at least 3-5 working days. I ordered on Tuesday and it still hasn't been dispatched. I phoned Marisota to ask them what was happening and they said it was now 7 working days. The guy was so rude! He said it would say on the email. It doesn't. He said it would say when I checked out. It doesnt. Nowhere in their terms and conditions or delivery policy anywhere does it say 7 working days. No the guy was right and I was wrong. So I asked if I could cancel my order and he said he would put me through to someone else and he kept me waiting for 6 mins before I hung up and phoned to complain. You feel that he did that on purpose and that when he gets the complaint or that someone will run across the office telling him that some silly cow has just phoned up to complain. I hadn't had any problems with Marisota before this and couldn't understand the bad reviews. Now I know and will never buy from them again ! From now on they can shove their extra thick catalogue up where the sun doesn't shine !
