Very disappointed with lack of leniency following a mistake on my part.

I made an error in the date of my booking, clicking on 21 instead of 25 March as the date of travel, which was not apparent to me until I printed the confirmation out , within a minute of two of making the booking and only then because of the section regarding hotels as the actually ferry booking was very faint and extremely difficult to read. I immediately rang the customer services department, explained the error and asked if they could rectify it. The lady who initially answered the phone was very polite but said I would have to pay a £25 fee to change this, I asked to speak to the supervisor who confirmed this. I would say that both the people I spoke to were very courtesy and polite but just unable to rectify the problem without this exorbitant charge.

I feel that there should be some discretionary powers to rectify what are obvious errors rather than changes in travel plans, after all we are not all young computer whizz-kids and do make mistakes!

Obviously I will take extreme care as I normally do when making bookings, but I will consider very carefully before using AFerry again and at the present time I am able to say I would use your services in the future.
