National Tyres and Autocare

Poor communication

The branch were claiming that the tyres hadn't come in to stock on the arranged day. I had to ring customer services twice to find out what was going on. After the second call the lady rang me back to tell me the tyres were in stock and that I could go and have them fitted as soon as possible, but they wer just finishing a job and may have to wait. When I got to the branch the guy on reception claimed not to have know when the tyres had come in. This was a small branch with only 3 or 4 staff. I left the keys for the car and went into town for a coffee as I was told they had a job to finish and couldn't start with my tyres for 20 or so minutes. On returning 20 minutes later I found the car had moved and the new tyres were fitted.
Not great service.
Also when ordering the tyres online there was no mention that the tyres were not in stock and would be delivered from the manufacturer but not for the day i had booked.

We do apologise for the inconvenience that has been caused.

It is strange that the branch were unaware whether the tyres had come into stock and you had to ring customer service to be reassured.

I will be passing this onto to a regional manager to investigate further.
