I have recently purchased a concert ticket through viagogo paying over 3 times face value which would be fine if everything was straight forward.
My ticket was sent as an e ticket and the first thing I thought was surely the seller has a copy of this and can still just turn up to the event. I phoned the arena where the show is taking place and they have told me that this is a strong possibility and as the original buyers name is on the ticket then I would be refused entry if they showed up aswell.
I am travelling several hundred miles so will be paying a lot on both travel and also accommodation for the event which is just too much money to risk.
I have emailed viagogo stating the problem and also stated the fact that they have charged me money for an event which they can't even guarantee entry too but they are refusing to do anything about it. They claim they can't possibly refund and comply with the law but I can't see how the law can be for a company to charge you a fortune for a product that they can't even guarantee would be useable.
I'm only young and don't earn much so this has caused me a lot of emotional stress as its a lot of money to lose.
Asides from trust pilot I have also found several other sites with nothing but bad reviews on this company. Please everyone do your research before you use this company and stay well away from them as its awful to think of how many people they con.
My transaction id is 2946559. I have been in touch about this already though and no one is willing to help
