I purchased a 100w solar panel kit for our motor home.
The free delivery came with the specified time and we were kept informed of the delivery schedule.
I have just installed the solar panel. A fairly simple operation. It is just important to remember to do the calculations to avoid potential voltage drop on a 12v system, and then use the correct size cable from the battery to the controller.
At 8.00 am on a partially sunny day in early August the 100w panel was pumping out 2.1 amps @ 14.5v. Assuming approximately 12 hours of charge at this rate then this panel will have been able to provide 25 amps of charge for a 115 amp hour battery. More than the daily usage when we are out and about with the motorhome parked up on site.
The fixing kit is substantial and looks good on the roof. If this larger panel kit works as well as my portable 13w suitcase solar panel we will be pleased. No more fussing about charging the battery when the motorhome is not in use, and one less thing to put away before we move off when we are out an about.
This is the second time we have used direct ferries to purchase a Brittany Ferries crossing from Plymouth to Roscoff . The first time last September (2012) , Britannia Ferries went on strike while we were in France. Direct Feries phoned us to inform us of the difficulties and made alternative travel arrangements. When we returned to the UK they informed us how we might get a refund for the failed return journet and how to go about getting reimbursed from Brittany Ferries for additional costs we incurred due to the strike. With this in mind I am more than happy to recommend direct ferries who not only offer slightly better deals than the carrier but in our experience take care of their customers when things go wrong.
