an awful driver- but properly handled by Davpack

These were bought by me for delivery to the house of Hugh Johnson (the wine writer). The driver called my wife to ask for delivery instructions, and was extremely rude to her, as she could not help him. On arrival at the destination, he saw the gardener, who confirmed this was the correct place. According to the gardener the packages were all over the lorry- the driver said it was because he'd taken some bends too fast, and finally he took them out at the bottom of the drive-about 100 yards from the house- and left the gardener too deliver them the rest of the way. Since my one star review I have been contacted by Davpack, who ,whist accepting full responsibility for the delivery, used an outside haulier, the diver of whom will, I hope, get an enormous kicking!Davpack handled my complaint very promptly and correctly, so I have amended my review to 3 stars

Dear Mr Burge – it was good to talk to you yesterday; thanks so much for understanding our position and amending your review. As I said at the time, we do take responsibility for all our orders from the moment they are placed to the point at which they arrive with the customer, even though the final part of that process is often out of our hands. However, we regularly monitor the performance of our courier and always pass any complaints to them. I’m very sorry you had problems with your delivery, but I assure you that such issues are extremely rare and I hope this will not stop you from using Davpack for any packaging supplies you may need in the future.
