Up until a couple of weeks ago I would have said that DPD (Birmingham Depot) were one of the better courier companies - tracking was good & stuff arrived within the promised slot.
But (you just knew that a 'but' was coming) they have now botched up three deliveries and a returns collection in a row - all to an address that they used to find with ease. No tracking, no delivery/collection, endless excuses and no compensation either to me or the companies concerned. They just don't seem to give a ....
The most recent (as per the reference given above) is an Amazon Prime delivery - Amazon despatched on 27/11 - and there the trail ends - a black hole of DPD evasion and incompetence.
What is really grinding my gears is that this is a 'Black Friday Week' deal at around £25 off the usual price. I know that I'll only get a refund from Amazon as they won't replace the missing item at the 'deal price'. So DPD not only have me sitting around at home for two days, when I could be out partying (or whatever), but have cost me the price of several decent bottles of wine that I could be partying with.
