I was unlucky enough to have to return an item twice (two different problems). Rutland Cycling dealt with the problems courteously and with no fuss. Note that the second time was after six months, so I half expected to be redirected to the manufacturer. Not only did Rutland Cycling save me from having to deal with a third-party, they replaced the original product with the latest model as a good will gesture.
The web needs more e-commerce sites like Rutland Cycling. Great customer service is not dead.
