I've been using Just Eat for roughly about 6/7 years after being introduced by a friend. I thought the concept was an amazing one and fits me perfectly. I hate ringing up to place orders, I just want to see what's on offer, tell you what I want, pay and go about my business. Their service allowed me to do exactly that.
Where we've had our issues were around refunds after restaurants have either taken money from my card and failed to deliver, or been quite rude. I remember that I had to complain to them regarding one particular outlet who took money, delivered a bad AND incomplete order, and then harassed me for the best part of a month afterwards, because I left a detailed review, recounting everything that happened. JE did not protect me from or put a stop to the behaviour until the very end of the encounter, despite my complaints which, in my opinion, made them just as responsible.
By way of apology, I was eventually offered a voucher that I did not receive and the process of trying to procure that I had a further rigmarole that almost stopped me from using them altogether. In both instances, i finally got my refund and reparations, but I still feel that neither situation should ever have been allowed to escalate to those degrees and that occurred because there are not proper monitoring procedures in effect.
