I have been very frustrated with jet 2. Their no refunds policy is more unreasonable than I had originally thought. After knowing we were unable to fly (a month before we were due to)... and a month after we had booked the flights, we were told that no refund would be offered - fair enough, that is their policy. HOWEVER, we were given the option to change the flights (and pay lots of extras) - great - hopefully we would be able to use them next year sometime. But no!! - You have to tell them then and there the exact day and time you can fly, pay the extra charges and any differences. After saying can we cancel them and have some compensation in gift vouchers as a gesture to use again I was told 'we don't do gift vouchers' That is untrue!! I was told i can cancel my flight... so they can sell it again, or i just don't turn up. Surely it would make more sense to give me a little bit of my money back (even if it is in vouchers), and they can sell the tickets again at a premium??? - I was then told that i could try and claim through my travel insurance (which i did also through Jet2), after saying 'yes please' they told me that i had to ring a separate department, cancel my flight and request a letter to be sent to their other department for a charge £15! Not happy - very unprofessional and unhelpful service. Will avoid using again.
