I bought a camera from them - on line having first driven for nearly 2 hours there and back only to find it was not in stock even though there website said it was. So I ordered the same day December 26 and immediately the money was taken from my bank however I received nothing, absolutely nothing from Currys. I called them. They denied taking the money and said it was a security problem. On Friday having still received nothing I called again. Their customer service number does not work. They simply say thank you for calling and hang up. One has to make them think you wish to place an order to get a response. Eventually after being assured that my camera would be delivered on Monday 30 Dec. I waited for some document which I received but no information on delivery. I called again. This is an 0844 number for which one gets charged. After hanging on and going through the same system to get to speak to someone I was once again assured my camera was to be shipped on that Day or Sunday. I called again on Sunday and was told it was ready for shipment and would definitely be delivered Monday by Royal Mail or DPD or something like that and that they would sent email confirmation. Eventually, late Yesterday , I rede ivied notification it was being by Royal Mail with the following tracking number. This morning, I received a package ordered Yesterday from Amazon delivered by DPD - great service from Amazon as always. About 10 minutes later, I received a package by Royal Mail shipped from Northern Ireland Saturday. Nothing fro Currys. I tried to track the item and saw that RM had been notified Yesterday of the INTENTION of using RM with that tracking # but they had not yet received the item. I called Currys again and was assured the package would be delivered Today at 3.51 pm. Since then I spent more than half an hour trying to ascertain from Currys where my camera was. Some girl told me it was on the way to the Post Office. As at 3.41 Today, Royal Mail has still not received my camera and despite Currys further assurance a manager would call me no one has. The moral of this story is, do not deal with this incompetent outfit. They just tell lies and more lies.
Yes!! I was in a bit of a bind. I was to be married in the Caribbean early April and I needed some extra cash to pay for everything. My bank helped with a little but I needed £1500.00 more. Hello Varooma. Thank you we sorted everything very quickly, even though it was Sunday. I am now well into repaying what I borrowed.
I had to transfer some funds from my Bank account to My Credit Card and was told it would take 3 Days. Unfortunately this meant I would miss the £10.00 Discount. Not so. I called and spoke with Laura and she told me not to worry, I would still qualify. However, 1 Day later I saw my funds had arrived so I hurriedly placed my order. I say hurriedly because in my eager excitement to get my beautiful Festina Tour De France o mistakenly oversized my wrist. Once again Laura to the rescue. My watch arrived safe and sound and perfectly sized. Would I recommend you. Without doubt. Quality service which Today is sadly lacking in other merchants.
