Watch Out... European Product with Wrong Plug!

I have just received my Netgear DGN2200M Router from WAE+ after a 9 day wait despite their website showing the item was in stock. It took 8 days to fulfil an 'in stock' item and 1 day to ship it ... so not a good start!

Having received the item all nicely packaged in its original packaging, imagine my surprise when it turns out to be a European model (probably French) which has been supplied without any form of adapter for the UK market a practise I believe is illegal in the UK under the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

WAE+ seem to be aware of this as they have a specific contact page to get a UK adaptor but no complaints email address where I can ask politely for this to be rectified by supplying me with a proper UK power supply for a Netgear Router before I report them to the local trading standard office.

I went in to this purchase knowing that WAE+ had a less than glowing reputation, however the price was good and if it had only been the lengthy delivery time I might have recommended them with a note of caution…

I’ll reserve judgement on customer service, however as it stands I would avoid purchasing anything from WAE+ and would certainly not recommend them unless you want the hassle of dealing with stupid issues like this!
