We ordered a vanity unit, basin and taps on January 14th, for guaranteed delivery on January 17th, (we paid £30 extra for this service) having checked that all items were in stock. On January 15th we received a message that the vanity unit was not in stock. Initial reaction was to cancel, but instead I emailed to ask when it would be available, no reply from better bathrooms. There followed a number of emails, all unanswered, followed by telephone calls. The item would now be in stock on March 4th. On March 4th the date changed to March 14th.
We received an email on March 14th announcing that our order had been filled and we would be contacted to agree a delivery date. On March 18th, when fortunately we had just returned home from a shopping trip, the delivery arrived unannounced. On opening the carton we found the basin smashed and the vanity unit damaged.
More phone calls and the goods were loaded back on the lorry and a refund promised. 5 days later, after the promised phone call and refund had failed to arrive, I phoned again and was again promised a refund, a phone call and a confirming email. non of these things happened. A further email from me was again ignored.
My wife has just finished another angry phone call to "customer services" and again we wait for another phone call and our refund.
They were quick enough to take our money, but after that we obviously ceased to have any importance whatever.
